Family Story Time - Feb. 14 - 6:30-7:10 pm at the Marshall Public Library, 113 S. Garfield ave, Pocatello. This is an evening story time filled with books and stories for the whole family. Fro more information, call the library at 232-1263. 
 
Open House at the Bannock Co. Crimminal Justice Complex- Feb. 23, 2-5 pm. - This is a chance to tour the jail and sherriff's office, view information and tools used in law enforcementand interact with deputies. This is open to the public.
 
"Safety In Bear Country"- Friday, Feb. 15 - from 1-6 pm at ISU in the Pond Student Union, North Fork Room. This Free workshop is sponsored by the US Fish and Wildlife Service in cooperation with the Idaho State University Outdoor Adventure Center. Skate & Ski Clinic- February 16, 9-11:30 am. The East Mink Creek Nordic Center will host this event for beginner and intermediate skiers. Cost is $20, and particioants also will need a trail pass. rental equipment is available for $10. For more information, call 234-6237
 
"Now We're cookin': Homemade Baby Food"- The University of Idaho will host a  free cooking workshop on February 20, 10:00am - noon and February 21, 7-9 pm. The workshop will be in the ISU foods Lab, Albion Hall Bldg. No. 61. To sign up, call 236-7318. Anyone interested in learning about making fresh, nutritious and inexpensive food from scratch is encouraged to enroll.
 
Natural Science Homeschool Enrichment Classes at the Idaho Museum of Natural History for 8-12 yr. olds:
Feb. 8,  9-11 a.m., "The Journey of a Water Molecule"
Feb. 15, 9-11 a.m., "Streams & the Fish Within"
There will be instruction, group activities and hands-on projects. Registration is $30 for both classes.
Registration will be taken in person or by mail in order of payment received. Nno verbal reservations accepted.

Get Ready kids...The Geography Bee sponsored by SEIHA will be Wed. Feb. 27, 1 p.m. at the Marshall Public Library. As usual, the study kits are on the web (www.eyedocgreg.com/homeschool). We will test kids at their grade level, then work up to more challenging material, and families should bring $1 per child for prizes.
